The Era of Electric Racing
In 2009, for the first time in history, electric motorcycles raced around the historic mountain course at the Isle of Man. The event marked the beginning of a new era where bikes powered by cutting-edge electric powertrains take center stage in the grueling and competitive sport of motorcycle racing.
The racing circuit will be the proving ground for Mission technology. Our customized Mission One race bike carries the same advanced electric powertrain found in our production motorcycles. Mission Motorsports will compete in races throughout Europe, Japan, and the United States. Through a commitment to success on the track, Mission Motorsports aims to set the mark for electric performance.
Bonneville Speed Trials
On September 1, 2009, the Mission One claimed the national AMA top speed record for an electric motorcycle, with an unprecedented 150.059 mph two-pass average run sustained for one mile at the Bonneville Speedway. Lead up runs saw one-way speeds across the mile stretch at 161mph.
TTXGP
On June 12, 2009, Mission Motors competed in the TTXGP, the world's first zero emissions, clean emissions grand prix held during the Isle of Man TT. 19 bikes from 17 teams traveled from 6 different countries to tackle one of the most challenging race circuits in the world.
